‘Cold Case’ Forces Actress Into ‘Shoe Biz’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Acting on a show like Cold Case is a good platform for a young actress – except if you actually have to wear platforms.

That’s the dilemma facing actress Scout Taylor-Compton this Sunday (March 6), when she appears on the CBS crime drama playing a hippie chick from 1970.

Sixteen-year-old Scout says the role required her to wear “strange clothes from the early ’70s, such as an “itchy top,” bell bottoms, and, worst of all, high heeled platform shoes.

Scout admits she’s not fond of wearing heels but her scenes required her to walk around in the platforms like she knew what she was doing.

It wasn’t easy getting a leg up on the job. Scout says she teetered around on the platforms before shooting commenced and found it to be a kick by the time her scenes were complete.

The Cold Case role was one of Scout’s tougher acting challenges but admits it’s not as hard as her current project: convincing her parents to let her have a pet monkey.
