Actor Learns It Takes Balls To Play A Man Without A Penis

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – It takes balls for an actor to portray a man without a penis.

That’s what Michael Rodrick learned first-hand while making Nowhere Man, an indie film noir about a man whose sex organ is chopped off by a jilted lover.

Rodrick – a veteran of the soap opera Another World – admits he was a bit goosy about taking the cutting edge role because “it breaks every social taboo” but was convinced to take it after the director, Tim McCann, called him a “wimp.”

Since Rodrick still has all his bits and pieces, it was a bit of a stretch but he says he was able to handle the part once he decided that his character “was a guy going through a violent separation, but instead of wanting visitation rights for his dog or his kid, he just wants his penis back.”

Nowhere Man has its world premiere in Chicago on March 11 and will open in select cities after that. Nevertheless, Rodrick is confident the film will be a hit because “every guy who sees it laughs nervously throughout the entire film.”
