Rain, Rain Go Away, Oscar’s Coming Out To Play

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The disastrous rainstorms that have caused mudslides and floods in Los Angeles could also put a damper on Oscar-night glamour.

That’s according to red carpet regular Melissa Rivers, who says a rainy Oscar night could cause makeup meltdowns and hairdo collapses left and right.

Rivers has covered Hollywood’s big night for almost 10 years and says both hot and wet weather causes Tinsel Town’s glamour gals to run for their stylists.

In her words, “I think my mom [comedian Joan Rivers] said it best: ‘If you have bad weather, ditch your date and bring your makeup and hair persons instead.’”

Still, the younger Rivers says that given a choice between storms and heat, “rain is more glamorous than sweating like a pig.”

She’s got hair and makeup on the brain these days after chatting with ladies at an Oscar-themed salon in New York where ladies get free red carpet treatment courtesy of Suave shampoo.
