Duck, Duck, Goose: Cryptozoologist Discovers ‘Mallgoose’

MINNEAPOLIS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it may not necessarily be a duck anymore.

Cryptozoologist Doug Hajicek claims to have discovered a new goose species he calls the “Mallgoose.” He speculates it’s the offspring of a male Mallard duck and a female Canadian goose.

He spotted the Mallgoose in a wetland near a shopping center in the Minneapolis suburbs on Feb. 4, while driving with his wife.

Hajicek says a gaggle was feeding there and he saw a giant black gander with the green head of a Mallard. He says, “It looked like someone glued a Mallard head onto a Canadian goose.”

Hajicek managed to snap about 30 photos of the Mallgoose with a disposable camera, and he says biologists who have seen the photos have never seen anything like it.

Hajicek says the implication is that the male Mallards are overpopulated and now mating with the geese. He sums it up describing it like “a Chihuahua going after a Great Dane.”
