Don Ho Meets Scooby-Do

HONOLULU (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Hawaiian musician Don Ho has appeared on TV shows like The Brady Bunch and Charlie’s Angels but now he’s “ruffing it” with Scooby-Doo.

The Hawaiian singing legend has contributed to the soundtrack of a new Scooby-Doo cartoon, Aloha Scooby-Doo, that hits DVD shelves tomorrow (Feb. 8).

Ho is singing the praises of the project since it will introduce his music to tiny kids who may grow up to sing “Tiny Bubbles.”

But even though Ho was gung-ho about the project, he admits not being familiar with Shaggy or Scooby.

In his words, “I grew up with the Road-Runner and when Scooby first appeared, I was trying to get educated.”

Now, he’s passing on that education to more Hos. He is currently helping his daughter, Hoku, record some more songs for a future project and is trying to nudge his 17-year-old son, Keli’i, to record an album.

In his words, “He has some great songs but he’s doing it at a real Hawaiian pace.”
