Ed Levine, author of Pizza: A Slice of Heaven (Universe), went across the U.S looking for the best pizzas and he says the belt of Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York and Massachusetts fired up the best tasting pizza in the U.S..

Levine not only expanded his knowledge of the popular food, he expanded his waistline, gaining 10 pounds during his year of research.
Thats not surprising since Levine admits he ate more than 1000 slices of pizza from hundreds of pizzerias during his eating binge, sometimes going to three or four pizzerias a day.
Still, Levine never got fed up with the amount of pizza he consumed. He says, If its good, youre not going to get sick of it.
