Man Saves `Idols' From Missing Sock Epidemic

Wednesday, March 31, 2010 17:16 GMT

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – American Idol contestants have one less thing to stress about: Finding that pesky missing sock.

Edwin Heaven is the creator of Throx, a set of three identical socks that come with a spare in case one mysteriously disappears on laundry day.

In solving the worldwide missing sock epidemic, Heaven has sent Throx to the current Idol singers, who don’t have much time to search for missing socks or mend one if it gets a hole.

He claims the socks are “very lucky” and may help the crooners perform their best, especially frontrunner Crystal Bowersox.

Heaven thinks she should wear hers on stage – special pink ones with stars on them – and rename herself “Bowerthrox.”

Having the extra socks will help Idol’s wardrobe department run smoother because no place is safe from the dreaded “sockmonster.”

Heaven thinks the evil creature stealing people’s socks around the world is probably related to Simon Cowell.
