LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Don’t expect Melissa Etheridge’s kids to make a record any time soon – they don’t even know what that is.Although the Grammy winner would support all four of her youngsters if they wanted to sing just like Mommy, she says they still have a lot to learn about her job.
Etheridge recently showed them her old 45 record player and they were all confused and thought it was a toy.
She says, “I pulled it out and was like, ‘This is a record player and here’s a record.’ They asked, ‘Did you only do one song at a time?’”
She spent the rest of the afternoon explaining to them that there are 10 songs on a record and that you have to turn it over for more.
Etheridge laughs, “They really had no idea what it was!”
The crooner just finished her 11th album – available digitally or in modern-day CD form – Fearless Love, slated to drop this spring.
