Doctors Roast Shape Of Weenies
Monday, March 1, 2010 17:31 GMT
LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) If some doctors get their way, good old-fashioned wieners will never be the same again. The American Association Of Pediatrics is pleading with hot dog manufacturers to consider changing the shape of their wieners because theyre a choking hazard to small children.
However, throat doctor Murray Graossan believes the hot dog is being unfairly targeted because, really, kids can choke on pretty much anything.
In the end, a public weenie roast is not the answer and changing the shape of the hot dog is not reasonable.
Instead, Graossan says parents should be teaching their children to eat properly so they can avoid choking.
But if frank factories do end up altering their hot dogs, Graossan says their best bet would be to make stringy dogs in the shape of a long stick or mimic those Italian vegetable sticks that can be broken off as you eat it.
