PASADENA, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) Soon enough, people may actually be able to live forever. In his book Eternity Soup: Inside The Quest To End Aging (Harmony Books), Greg Critser explores the human desire to live forever or at least for as long as possible.
As a result of products and practices that promote longevity of life, Critser thinks that by the year 2050 there will be one million people over the age of 100 in America alone going about their day.
Though exciting news, Critser says this may spell disaster in social and political culture.
He explains, That means you have a huge chunk of the population whose dominant world view was forged nearly a century ago. The youth culture may be on its way out.
In researching anti-aging medicine, Critser has come across strange methods including an ointment called Virgin Again and a society of people who starve themselves as a means to extend their life.
