The Miller Park Zoo in Bloomington, Illinois, is turning turds into jewelry with their Magical Reindeer gem necklaces.
Theyre made from dehydrated reindeer droppings that have been covered in glitter and shaped into a festive snowman pendant.
The zoo decided to make the necklaces after a former employee shared a story about how his grandmother used to say reindeer poop helps Santa and his reindeer find her house to leave gifts.
Spokesperson Susie Ohley says its hard to keep up with the demand since people are clamoring to give the necklaces as Christmas presents.
However, husbands and boyfriends might reconsider giving their significant others the doodie jewelry.
She explains, Its a fun, inexpensive little pendant, but I dont think they would take the place of a diamond necklace.
