Dracula Would Kick Edward’s Butt

TORONTO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Twilight’s Edward Cullen may be the hot new vampire, but Bram Stoker’s Dracula would still kick his butt.

So says Elizabeth Miller, an expert on Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel, Dracula.

Though Edward Cullen is a unique, “post-modern” vampire, Miller thinks Stoker’s original edgy Dracula would eat him alive.

She says, “Dracula would kick his butt. He had the strength of 20 men, so he was one tough dude.”

Miller thinks Edward is “too human” and sensitive to hang with dark Dracula. In fact, the original vamp would scoff at Edward’s lovelorn romance with a human.

Miller adds, “He’d tell Edward to try being more hellish and horrific and go back to vampire school.”

Though the differences between the bloodsuckers are huge, Miller says that’s okay.

Since vampires are fictional, there’s room for variation in their stories, though most use old “stand-by” traits like craving blood and being able to live forever.
