All year long, Psycho Donuts shop is decked out with loony bin props like a padded cell and employees dressed as nurses.
They serve demented donuts like the “Cereal Killer” – a donut topped with cereal – and “Noses & Eyeballs,” little donuts shaped like noses with custard oozing out the nostrils.
This Halloween, Psycho Donuts will take crazy further by hosting antics like a karaoke contest in the padded cell, a zombie nurse costume contest, and bobbing for donuts, where contestants bob for donut holes in a trough of soupy glaze.
Owner Jordan Zweigoron urges patrons to go nuts in his wacky shop and wear their weirdest costumes, because even the donuts will be dressed up.
He’s sticking toothpick flags in some of them and dubbing them “protestors,” since the shop has had its share of haters who feel it mocks mental illness.
