Doctor Electrocutes Himself

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Getting electrocuted is no big deal for one risky doctor.

Dr. Austin Richards performs electrifying shows in which he’s struck by lighting that’s shot out from a nine- foot Tesla Coil as his alter ego, Dr. MegaVolt. He also shoots electricity from a gun attached to his arm.

Richards dresses in a full metal suit to ensure the thousands of volts of electricity he’s hit with don’t kill him, and describes the sensation as “flowing” over him “like a river” without feeling the slightest vibration.

Though getting electrocuted is admittedly “scary” for the doc and the audience, he rarely worries about getting shocked to death.

However, his snazzy outfit and shocking skills don’t necessarily make Richards invincible.

He says, “People have told me I’m like a superhero, but I don’t see it myself. I’m just me. Superheroes have a suit and a power, I just have a suit.”
