According to a survey by onepoll.com, nearly 60 percent of women are likely to fall for a guy if he breaks the ice with a light-hearted pick-up line because it shows his humor and confidence.
About 75 percent of gals would be receptive to a one-liner if it’s delivered with a smile.
But while 40 percent of women are still dating or married to a man who first approached them with a funny quip, not all pick-up lines work.
For instance, “Were you arrested earlier? It’s gotta be illegal to look this good,” and “Do you have a map? I keep getting lost in your eyes,” are dubbed way too over- the-top.
However, suave classics like, “Is it hot in here, or is it just you?” and “Did it hurt when you fell out of heaven?” work wonders on a woman.
