Science Center Awaits ‘Pi-Millionth’ Visitor

SANTA ANA, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One science center is waiting patiently for the apple of their pi.

The Taco Bell Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana, California, is excited to meet one special person today (Sep. 22) – their “pi-millionth” visitor.

At some point, guest number 3,141,592 – the first seven numbers of pi – will walk through the doors to a celebration of balloons, photos, and pie in their honor, and win a lifetime membership to the center.

Spokesperson Julie Smith says staffers are “thrilled and excited” to meet the highly-anticipated pi-millionth guest.

They’ll receive whoever comes through the fateful doors with open arms, though Smith hopes someone young takes the honor so they can have a long, science-filled life.

She says, “It would be so cool. We can see them grow and follow them through the years, and they can see us grow too.”
