So says Randy Thomasson, president of the pro-family organization SaveCalifornia.com, who’s currently fighting against having a special day devoted to Harvey Milk in public schools.
His goal is to get California’s SB572 bill for “Harvey Milk Gay Day” rejected by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, so kids don’t have to learn about Milk’s “outlandish” deeds.
Thomasson argues that Milk’s “sordid life” includes sexually preying on young boys, having multiple lovers at once, and publicly lying about his military experience to further his political career.
He doesn’t think Milk’s immoral behavior should be glorified in schools, and kids as young as kindergarten shouldn’t be taught about LGTB sex.
Since Harvey Milk Gay Day would include “commemorative exercises,” Thomasson fears it’ll turn into one big gay pride parade on campus, when kids should really be focused on learning.
