Married People On Facebook Are Annoying

Facebook marriage from hell

1960's Liz and Richard: As annoying as today's married Facebook couples

Thursday, August 19, 2009 9:04 PDT (

CHINO HILLS, Calif. (Wireless Flash) – People in love don’t belong on Facebook.

Married couples that use Facebook and bombard the news feed with status updates and wall posts are the bane of Andrea Albeanu’s existence, so she created to let them know how she feels.

On the blog, Albeanu and other people equally annoyed by couples on Facebook post screenshots of pages on which people have written the most saccharine messages of love about their other half.

She says, “It’s irritating after a while because it’s condescending to single people. I think it’s a little bit of bragging. Letting their friends know how awesome their marriage is.”

Though she is often called bitter for her hatred of “marrieds” on Facebook, Albeanu assures she’s not because “obnoxious” couples annoy a lot of people, which is evident by the number of emails she gets from users who gripe about their own married friends.
