Roller Disco Isn’t Dead

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Roller disco is no longer a thing of the past thanks to one far out skater – ya dig?

David Miles Jr. has made a name for himself as the “Godfather of Skating,” making it his mission in life to keep roller disco boogying forever.

Miles holds six-mile skating events through San Francisco several times a year – the next one happening this Sunday (Aug. 9) – where he pushes a stroller holding a boombox that pumps out funky jams.

Contrary to popular belief, Miles assures that roller disco isn’t dead.

He says, “That’s like saying Michael Jackson isn’t popular anymore. Roller disco never died. It’s been living on for 30 years.”

Miles believes roller disco touches that special “fun thing” in everyone, and if folks want to feel good again they just need to strap on those skates and get down and boogie.
