Though Pat Cuartero was a successful executive at Merrill Lynch, he gave up the cash and flash of Wall Street to follow his passion for yo-yoing by starting YoYoNation.com, which is hosting the 3rd Annual International Yo-Yo Open and New York State Yo-Yo Contest this Friday (Aug. 7) through Saturday (Aug. 8) in the Big Apple.
Not only did he save himself from financial ruin by getting out of Wall Street before the market crash, he’s also found success doing what he loves, something he thinks all people should do.
He says, “I urge people to take a chance on their passion and follow what they really want to do. If it doesn’t work out, you can always go back to a stable job.”
By following his dream, Cuartero feels he’s fulfilling his destiny and now gets to yo-yo at the office whenever he wants.
