Recently, Aldrin collaborated with rap heavyweights Snoop Dogg and Talib Kweli on a hip-hop jam called Rocket Experience under his hip-hop moniker Doc Rendezvous.
Aldrin spits rhymes like Moon walkin is a trip/ its so fine/ when youre walking on the lunar dust in the video made for FunnyorDie.com.
Though it seems to be a joke, Tyson Tanner of Harlem Hip-Hop Tours in New York says Aldrins foray into rap proves the genre is dead.
With the famed astronaut droppin lyrics on the mic, Tanner says now anybody can put something out there, so real rappers must step up their game.
Tanner isnt trying to diss Aldrin completely. He calls the moon man a great guy, but doesnt think rapping is his forte.
If Aldrin does continue on his journey into urban music, Tanner advises him to look to lyricists like KRS-One for inspiration.
