Jada Pinkett Smith Hands Off Injuries To Mom

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If anyone in Jada Pinkett Smith’s household is sick, her mom is going to hear about it.

Pinkett Smith produces and stars in HawthoRNe, a new TNT drama about nurses that premieres tonight (Jun. 16), but admits that she’ll leave all of the real diagnosing to her mother, who’s a working nurse.

She says her mom has the nursing thing “locked down” and her kids and husband Will Smith always run to her first for medical care.

Pinkett Smith says, “If they have any cuts, bruises, or gashes, they know they have to call Gammy!”

Though Pinkett Smith finds nursing a fascinating profession, she may not be cut out for life in the hospital.

She admits she doesn’t like blood and isn’t “much for physical gore.”

She filmed a scene for HawthoRNe the other day that showed a man with an open gash on his leg, which caught Pinkett Smith off guard and made her instantly feel a bit queasy.
