Robots Become Masters Of War

PORTLAND, Ore. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Soon, an army of robots will be doing the United States’ bidding on the battlefield.

In his article for h+ magazine Robots At War: Is Terminator Salvation An Oxymoron?, writer Surfdaddy Orca describes the U.S. government’s use of robots in warfare and how soon robo-warriors will be taking out enemies, and maybe even a few innocents.

Orca reveals that the government has a contract with robot builders the iRobot corporation to create fighters for the military.

He says, “They’ve already used an iRobot in Iraq and Afghanistan called the Big Dog. It can carry a little gun or a grenade launcher.”

According to Orca, the military says they want to use robot soldiers as a way to reduce human casualties, but they can be potentially more dangerous to man.

Orca explains, “They can make their own decisions. That’s the scary part. They can turn on us or kill innocent people at any time. This happened in South Africa recently.”
