Tequila Hangover Cure: Another Shot

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you were wasting away in Margaritaville last night (May 5), have another tequila shot.

According to hangover historian Rollin Riggs, publisher of The Hangover Handbook: 101 Cures For Humanity’s Oldest Malady (Mustang Publishing), the best way to nurse a post- Cinco de Mayo hangover is to down another margarita.

He says hangover pain often comes from your body craving more booze, so one small drink the morning after binging could ease your malady.

Riggs says Menudo – a Mexican tomato-based stew – is also a great hangover remedy since tomatoes are rich in the vitamins, minerals, and enzymes that alcohol depletes from your body.

So, eating a little salsa from last night’s festivities could cure your hangover too.

Riggs also suggests wearing dark sunglasses, taking a multivitamin, and drinking lots and lots of cold water.

Luckily, since tequila is a clear liquor, Riggs assures it doesn’t fuel the worst hangover ever, unlike brown liquors which “wreak havoc on your system.”
