‘Free Radio’ Host Pushes Celebrities’ Buttons

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – There’s nothing like watching a celebrity squirm in the hot seat.

Just ask comic Lance Krall, who plays a moronic DJ on VH1’s improv comedy series, Free Radio, where he interviews stars and bombards them with awkward questions.

Krall models his character off those obnoxious, wacky morning radio DJs who often piss off their guests by asking stupid, risque questions.

His tactic seems to work on unsuspecting celebs because he always gets the scoop.

Says Krall: “My character is like a truth elixir. He’s just so innocent and dumb, people want to open up.”

His celebrity questions aren’t scripted, which often results in “pandemonium,” like the time Krall interviewed boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard – and almost didn’t live to tell about it.

He laughs, “Sugar Ray Leonard had so much fun threatening to kill me – I loved it!”

The second season of Free Radio premieres April 2 on VH1 and will include crazy interviews with Kathy Griffin, John Stamos, and Cheech & Chong among others.
