‘Amazing Race’ Host Goes On Amazing Adventure

VENICE, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Contestants on The Amazing Race aren’t the only ones that go on wild adventures.

Host Phil Keoghan is going on his own amazing race by riding his bike across the United States in 40 days to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis research and to promote bicycle use in America.

Keoghan sets off this Saturday (Mar. 28) from Santa Monica, California, and plans on gliding into New York on May 9, and the trek has him freaking out a bit.

He says, “I wake up in the middle of the night with panic attacks that I won’t finish. No matter how fit you are, riding 100 miles a day beats you up. I hope all my body parts hold up.”

Though he’s taken part in other nutty excursions, including bungee jumping with eight other people, spending three days in a nude resort, and renewing his wedding vows under water, Keoghan calls his bike ride “the biggest thing I’ve ever done.”
