There Really Is Luck Of The Irish

HERTFORDSHIRE, England (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Rubbing up on an Irishman or woman during your St. Paddy’s Day (Mar. 17) celebrations may help you get lucky.

According to professor Richard Wiseman, author of The Luck Factor: The Four Essential Principles - How To Increase Luck In Your Life (Miramax), the luck of the Irish is a real thing.

In his studies, Wiseman discovered that people who consider themselves to have good luck practice superstitious behaviors designed to bring them luck, like carrying charms and knocking on wood, and see positive results from those acts.

Those who are unlucky in life, however, have been known to break mirrors and walk under ladders.

Though Wiseman admits that not all Irish folks are necessarily lucky, many do follow superstitions as part of their culture.

This means latching on to an Irish person while chugging green beer may bring good fortune for revelers today.
