Kentucky Businessman Fears Ghost Of Abe Lincoln’s Father

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A business owner in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, is worried that the ghost of Abraham Lincoln’s father will be haunting his office soon.

That’s because a memorial dedicated to Honest Abe, his father Thomas, and stepmother Sarah Bush Johnston is set to be erected in the parking lot of office furniture supplier Kerr Office Group on Thursday (Feb. 12) – Abe Lincoln’s 200th birthday.

The memorial will be constructed out of the actual stones that were the foundation of the Lincoln home, which used to lay right on the premises of the office building.

Owner Brian Kerr is “excited to be giving back to the community,” though he’s a little worried that the monument will attract unwanted visitors.

He says, “I hope I don’t see any of their ghosts. Let’s hope that if they haven’t been here yet, they won’t come at all.”

However, Kerr is mulling the idea of spreading a spooky rumor of ghostly activity in hopes that it’ll attract business.
