Actor Experiments Swinging Both Ways

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – For actor Scott Bailey, it’s easy to swing both ways – especially for a meaningful movie role.

Bailey – best known for his work in The Guiding Light – stars in the Lifetime film Prayers For Bobby, premiering tomorrow (Jan. 24).

It’s based on the true story of a gay man who commits suicide, and his mother, who later becomes a gay rights activist.

Bailey plays the gay man’s boyfriend, in his first-ever gay role as a straight man, but insists that batting for the other team was easy.

He has “lots of gay friends” so research was a breeze, and the guy-on-guy kissing scenes came naturally.

He explains, “It was my first man kiss, but it wasn’t all that different from kissing a leading lady. It was simple – nothing a breath mint couldn’t cure!”

While his gay friends “can’t wait to see the make- out scene,” Bailey can’t wait to see the response the film gets.

He hopes it teaches people about love, tolerance, and equality, and “makes a difference in a Prop 8 world.”
