Thats the bottom line from Charlie Todd, who runs the prank society Improv Everywhere.
Todd is organizing the 8th Annual No Pants Subway Ride in New York City and 20 other cities worldwide this Saturday (Jan. 10), in which pranksters board the subway and, without making a fuss, remove their pants and go about their business.
Todd says, Its turned into a social event. Its kind of funny meeting someone for the first time in their underwear, but many have made lasting friendships.
With more than 1,000 jokesters participating, Todd says many are often surprised, adding, Its a fun moment when the person sitting quietly next to you gets up and takes their pants off too.
However, pantless riders can still tell whos being silly, and whos just plain crazy.
Todd explains, You can tell when its a drunk person with their pants off on the subway. No one gets confused.
