Couples See Themselves In Animated Gays

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Finally, gay lovers have their very own Odd Couple to look up to.

Rick & Steve: The Happiest Gay Couple In All The World, is a stop-motion animated series on Logo that follows the lives of a same-sex couple and their gay and lesbian friends.

Though Rick & Steve strive to be the perfect gay couple, executive producer Allan Brocka says the duo have their ups and downs like every relationship.

They’re easily bothered by one another’s habits, but usually find a way to get through the rough patches.

Brocka says many gay viewers relate to Rick & Steve’s rocky relationship, especially those named Rick and Steve.

He’s gotten dozens of letters from gay couples who have the same names as the animated pair and swear the duo is exactly like them.

Brocka says gays may also enjoy the show because the characters are known to randomly bust into song and dance about taboo topics like sperm and society.

Rick & Steve airs Tuesdays on Logo.
