Getting screamed at is an everyday occurrence for Steve Garfield, who boots cars all day as part of the Philadelphia Parking Authority.
Garfields run-ins with angry drivers is documented on the A&E reality series Parking Wars, which premieres its second season tomorrow (Oct. 15), and he says being hated never comes easy.
He laments, Ive seen every kind of bad reaction. People have yelled, screamed, used bad language. Once in a while it will escalate to pushing. You have to have thick skin.
Since appearing on the show, Garfield says hes gotten a more positive response from people.
Now instead of screaming, they simply try to bribe him.
Garfield explains, Ive had a couple people recognize me so now when they see me booting their car, theyll plead with me and say theyre big fans so I wont do it.
