At least thats what Darci Andresen hopes will happen through her fundraising event, Obamathon: United We Dance, happening tomorrow (Oct. 10) at the Bay Citys Verdi Club.
Andresen hopes to raise at least $20,000 by having participants get sponsored for time logged on the dance floor, with the boogie bucks going to Obamas campaign.
She says, I think dancing is a great way to bring diverse people together, which is what Obama is trying to do. California is already a Blue State, so this is our way to turn other states.
She also hopes participants bring their undecided voter friends to the party to learn about Obama, and maybe get them to swing their vote to the left.
Andresen believes dancing can solve many of the worlds problems, and thinks itd be kind of awesome if Congress raised cash to boost the dwindling economy by busting a move.
