‘Macarena’ Celebrates 15th Anniversary With Spicy Makeover

HOLLYWOOD (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If one aspiring pop singer gets her way, everyone will be doing the “Macarena” again this fall.

It’s been 15 years since the Latin dance by Los Del Rio took the world by storm, and singer Myra thinks now is the perfect time to bring the dance craze back.

Although she was too young to join in the “Macarena” at clubs when the song first came out in 1993, Myra still knows all the moves and wants to expose it to new generations.

She says, “Of course I remember the moves. I must’ve been in third or fourth grade but everyone was doing it, that’s for sure!”

Myra says her revamped version is a little spicier and sexier than the original, but the hand motions will be exactly the same so people can catch on quick.

She adds, “Why not bring it back? It’s so fun, it was destined to make a comeback!”
