Pizza Inventor Delivers Half-Baked Idea

MERRILLVILLE, Ind. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A pizza prodigy in Merrillville, Indiana, is delivering a half-baked idea.

Ira Scott, of the Road Pizza Company, has just created Heart Healthy Road Pizza, a shelf stable pie that comes in its own solar reflective pizza box.

The pizza is pre-baked and sealed in a pouch, and when you’re ready to eat it, you simply place the box in the sun and reheat.

The solar panels on the box heat up the pizza in about 30 minutes for a perfect, quick snack.

Scott says it’s ideal for camping trips – when no one wants to cook – sporting events, and for drivers who get the munchies.

He explains, “If you put the box in a parked car on a hot, summer day, the temperatures will cook the pizza right away.”

Due to it’s vacuum-sealed packaging, the solar-powered pie can last up to five years without spoiling.

The pizza is also “heart-healthy” and helps lower cholesterol because it contains soy bean extracts and plant sterols, known for their health properties.
