‘Burn Notice’ Actor Brings His Work Home

MIAMI (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Burn Notice star Jeffrey Donovan can’t help but bring his work home with him.

Donovan plays clever, “MacGuyver-esque” spy Michael Westen on Burn Notice and says his character’s investigative skills are rubbing off on him.

He jokes, “I’m following my friends around all the time now. I have so much dirt on them – wait until it all comes out!”

At home, he’s putting his handy spy knowledge to use and says he’s rigged his house so that nobody can break in.

But the coolest skill he’s acquired from his TV gig is being able to make anything out of random objects, a la MacGuyver.

He says, “My character can make a bomb out of a toaster. That’s impressive!”

Besides the serious skills, Donovan says his favorite part of his character is simply that he’s a spy.

He says, “I get to play a James Bond in America and it’s awesome. I could NEVER be this cool in real life!”

The second season of Burn Notice premieres Thursday (Jul. 10) on USA Network.
