‘Time’ Hasn’t Changed Morris Day’s Lady Luck

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Morris Day is still a ladies man.

On June 24 through July 5, the original lineup of legendary funk band The Time will hit the stage together at the Flamingo in Las Vegas for the first time in 20 years.

The Time is best known for their 80s jam “Jungle Love” and an appearance in Prince’s movie Purple Rain, but even 20 years later, funky frontman Morris Day hasn’t lost his step with the ladies.

Day welcomes the frantic female attention at the Sin City shows, but adds, “I get that on a daily basis. Vegas ain’t gonna change anything!”

Day passes the mic to his bandmates – including legendary producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis – and says the music at the shows will be “off the chain,” and the show may feature, “some naked dancers on stage,” and even a special guest or two.

Day says, “I wouldn’t be surprised if Prince gets on stage once he hears the buzz.”

But Day is quick to shine the spotlight back on himself, and adds, “Of course the frontman is going to be sexy!”
