Ed Decker is a San Diego-based bartender who has some advice you may want to take a swig of before your annoying antics get you booted from the bar on Cinco de Mayo.
Even though the pubs will be packed, Decker says pounding your beer on the bar or whistling to get your bartenders attention will only annoy him or her.
And money wont make you a margarita master Decker says Overtipping doesnt mean you own the bartender. Wed prefer to give you your money back than put up with you being obnoxious.
While its the law that bartenders arent allowed to serve anybody whos visibly intoxicated, Decker says the rules are a little looser on Cinco de Mayo, but that still doesnt mean you can act like a maniac.
Decker says, If youre falling asleep at the bar, or stumbling, youll be cut off. It doesnt matter what day it is.
