Behave At The Bar On Cinco De Mayo (May 5)

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Cinco de Mayo (May 5) isn’t an excuse to act loco at the bar.

Ed Decker is a San Diego-based bartender who has some advice you may want to take a swig of before your annoying antics get you booted from the bar on Cinco de Mayo.

Even though the pubs will be packed, Decker says pounding your beer on the bar or whistling to get your bartender’s attention will only annoy him or her.

And money won’t make you a margarita master – Decker says “Overtipping doesn’t mean you own the bartender. We’d prefer to give you your money back than put up with you being obnoxious.”

While it’s the law that bartenders aren’t allowed to serve anybody who’s visibly intoxicated, Decker says the rules are a little looser on Cinco de Mayo, but that still doesn’t mean you can act like a maniac.

Decker says, “If you’re falling asleep at the bar, or stumbling, you’ll be cut off. It doesn’t matter what day it is.”
