‘ER’ Actress Maura Tierney Won’t Swipe Scrubs

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – When ER comes to an end, longtime series actress Maura Tierney is hanging up her scrubs – for good.

The long-running, 15-season hospital drama will be ending in February 2009 and Tierney, who plays troubled Dr. Abby Lockhart, isn’t planning on taking her ER scrubs with her as a souvenir from the set.

Since she’s been on the show for nine seasons, Tierney wants to swipe something bigger than scrubs – but she’s not sure what yet.

She explains, “I’ve been eyeballing the set, trying to decide what I want to lift. I want to be careful with my selection. I want to take something iconic, but not my scrubs!”

Once she checks out of ER’s County General Hospital, Tierney doesn’t plan on working in the TV medical genre again.

She says, “ER has been so great to me. I can’t imagine having more fun acting on any other medical show. I wouldn’t want to!”

ER airs Thursdays on NBC.
