Alan Graham is the author of I Remember (Dark Ryders Publishing), a candid, behind-the-music look at legendary Doors singer Jim Morrison.
Graham, who was married to Morrisons sister, Anne, for 22 years, says that most people have an incomplete picture of the free-spirited frontman.
He says, He wasnt just this mythological Lizard King that people talk about. He was tragic, funny, intelligent he was human.
Graham recounts Christmases spent with the iconic performer, and pranks that Morrison pulled, including a time he and his girlfriend ditched Graham at a funeral home.
But the book doesnt pull any punches about the Light My Fire singers classic debauchery either.
On a visit to Morrisons Hollywood home, Graham once had to knock out Morrison after he got too drunk and rowdy, and the two were also involved in a 10-car pileup in the Hollywood hills.
I Remember hits shelves March 14.
