Rock VJ Dreads Grammy Awards, Loves Open Bar

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The best part of the 50th Annual Grammy Awards this Sunday (Feb. 10) is throwing back shots at the backstage bar.

That’s the word from Steven Smith, the host of Fuse TV’s Steven’s Untitled Rock Show, who’ll be taking his rock show on the road to cover this year’s Grammys.

Smith admits, “I kind of loathe awards shows, to be honest. I’ve never been a fan of the Grammys.”

Smith will endure performances by Fergie, Beyonce, and Alicia Keys, but while the divas are doing their thing, he’ll be doing his.

He says, “Backstage is where all the fun is. Anywhere there’s an open bar and musicians, fun will ensue.”

Smith looks forward to downing drinks with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, because, as he puts it, “I have a serious man crush on him. And he knows it.”

And speaking of boozin’, Smith hopes dangerous diva Amy Winehouse runs away with an “Album of the Year” award, but adds, “I want her to be in rehab and not there to accept.”
