Wu-Tang Clan Frontman Roots For East Coast Super Bowl

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Wu-Tang Clan frontman Rza is proud that East Coast pigskin pros are representing in Super Bowl XLII this Sunday (Feb. 3).

Rza – a New York-based hip-hop artist who’s composed scores for films like Kill Bill and Blade:Trinity, and stars in Denzel Washington’s flick American Gangster – is happy that the New England Patriots and the New York Giants are going head-to-head in the Super Bowl because both teams are from his hometown area.

But since Rza is originally from Staten Island, New York, he’s partial to the Giants, even though they’re the underdogs.

Rza says, “I’m going for the Giants in the Super Bowl. I think they could take it, but New England is going for a 19-0 year, which is crazy and historic.”

And while the native New Yorker would be happy if the Giants tackled the winning title, he also wouldn’t mind another Super Bowl win for the Pats.

He explains, “If the Patriots win I’ll also be happy because they’re from the East Coast too. And they’ll make a very historical day out of it. They’re going to play hard and really show everyone they’re the best team in the league. The Giants are going to have to bring out some energy to break the Patriots’ streak.”
