Don’t Text Message, Send A Message On A Plant Instead

SPOKANE, Wash. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you’re tired of text messaging, a botanical buff has the perfect green gabbing solution.

Miracle Products, a company in Spokane, Washington, has developed the “Amazing Message Plant,” which blossoms to reveal personalized messages like “I Love You,” or “Marry Me.”

Company spokesman David Spector says any messages with up to 20 characters can be embedded into the leaves of the embryos of the plants, which are legible once they grow, but can’t divulge the secrets of the wordy folliage.

Although text messaging is all the rage these days, Spector says the message plants are just as good a form of messaging – they just take a bit longer to reach the reader, since the plants take about two weeks to grow.

Spector says, “The plants are like a really low-tech communication device. It’s like sending someone a text message, but they won’t get it for a while. But once they do, it’s a great surprise!”

And while 95 percent of the messages people send through the plants are friendly, Spector says they’ve also grown some weirder ones like “Get Lost,” and “Divorce Me.”

And with the holidays in full swing, Spector has been getting lots of requests for “Merry Christmas” and “Happy New Year” plants.
