Saints Rocking Around The Christmas Tree

SEATTLE (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – St. Nick isn’t the only saint rocking the holidays this year.

Archie McPhee, the novelty toy company, has come out with the Saint Roch, Saint Joseph, and Saint Anthony figurines, the patron saints of dogs, real estate, and bacon, respectively.

Spokesman David Wahl says the bacon Saint Anthony – who’s holding a frying pan – is most popular because, “people just love bacon.”

But the other two saints aren’t going down without a fight.

Wahl claims that dog lovers are slobbering over Saint Roch because, as Wahl puts it, “he just seems so dog friendly.”

And those interested in some real-estate luck might want to pray to Saint Joseph, who according to tradition, can help sell a property overnight if buried in the yard.

Wahl admits the company picked just one aspect of the saints to use for the figurines, but explains, “this way, people have a very specific thing to love about each saint.”
