Serendipity 3, a New York-based restaurant, is offering Frozen Haute Chocolate, a frozen chocolate drink thats mixed with Swiss gold powder, topped with gold-plated whipped cream and served in a golden goblet encrusted with black, white, and chocolate diamonds, and eaten with an 18-karat gold spoon also covered in diamonds.
The dessert was named the most expensive dessert in the world by Guinness World Records this past Wednesday (Nov. 14), and Serendipity 3 spokesman Joe Calderone feels that only celebrities or people with money to burn should even consider ordering the blinged-out beverage.
And while no one has ordered the dessert yet, one employee will be ecstatic when someone finally does.
Calderone explains, Theres going to be one lucky waiter whos going to get a 20 percent tip on $25,000. Thats a $2,000 tip!
