Hot Dog Honcho Heads To Court

EL CAJON, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A hot dog honcho in El Cajon, California, is getting ready for a big beef battle.

Since 1977, John Webster – or Uncle Frank as he’s known – has collected 5,000 hot dog related relics, but his collection, valued at nearly $125,000, is being threatened by a businessman with a beef against Uncle Frank’s franchise.

Steve Schussler, founder of the Rainforest Cafe chain, is planning to create his own hot dog hall of fame, and he’s just sued Uncle Frank for contract interference in an attempt to get Uncle Frank to stop dogging his dream by saying Schussler stole his idea.

Uncle Frank says, “This guy doesn’t own the concept, he’s taking it from me! He’s a liar, a thief, and a crook.”

But money isn’t the meat of Uncle Frank’s argument.

He says, “I had to sell my collection just to protect it. I don’t want his money, I want him to leave me the hell alone forever! I’ve done this for 31 years – I’m old, I’m sick, I’m broke, I’m unemployed. This is absurd that he’s suing me!”
