Since 1977, John Webster or Uncle Frank as hes known has collected 5,000 hot dog related relics, but his collection, valued at nearly $125,000, is being threatened by a businessman with a beef against Uncle Franks franchise.
Steve Schussler, founder of the Rainforest Cafe chain, is planning to create his own hot dog hall of fame, and hes just sued Uncle Frank for contract interference in an attempt to get Uncle Frank to stop dogging his dream by saying Schussler stole his idea.
Uncle Frank says, This guy doesnt own the concept, hes taking it from me! Hes a liar, a thief, and a crook.
But money isnt the meat of Uncle Franks argument.
He says, I had to sell my collection just to protect it. I dont want his money, I want him to leave me the hell alone forever! Ive done this for 31 years Im old, Im sick, Im broke, Im unemployed. This is absurd that hes suing me!
