Haunted Doll Spooks A Florida Museum

KEY WEST, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A devilish doll is haunting the folks at a Florida museum.

The Fort East Martello Museum in Key West, Florida, houses Robert the Haunted Doll, a creepy cuddler they think is responsible for some strange – and scary – stuff.

Robert was previously owned by the Otto family more than 100 years ago, and terrorized them by popping up in their son’s room even when the doll was kept locked up in their attic.

Now the stuffed mischief maker is responsible for camera tricks that keep visitors of the Fort East Martello Museum from taking pictures of him.

Museum spokesperson Elizabeth Ginter explains, “Cameras won’t work all of a sudden. Digital cameras will take the picture but will refuse to download later.”

Though Ginter considers herself a non-believer, museum employees have found Robert, who is kept in a glass box, sitting in different positions than he was last seen in, and have found his hand resting on the glass after tapping sounds were heard from his box.

Says Ginter: “To me, he’s just a doll. But some unexplainable things do happen.”
