Superpowers Are Tough For New ‘Heroes’ Actress

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Actress Dana Davis has just joined the cast of Heroes, and she’s having a tough time mastering her superpowers.

Davis – best known for her role on the TV series The Nine – plays Monica Dawson on Heroes, a girl with the paranormal power to replicate things and help people around her.

Although Davis is enjoying her super strengths, she admits that having extraordinary Heroes abilities can be exhausting.

Davis explains, “I kind of got thrown into Heroes, and immediately, I realized that having powers on this show is rough. The first few weeks they had me filming scenes where I did karate and Double Dutching. I was so sore afterwards.”

Davis says her physically demanding role is getting easier with time, especially since she’s started training with her stunt double.

But Davis knows why the gig has taken a toll on her.

She says, “I’m out of shape because I don’t workout. Come on, I’m an actor. My idea of working out is walking up the stairs at my house!”

Still, Davis is excited about toning up her superhero side.

Davis adds, “Monica gets pretty tough. You’ll see her fighting a lot. It gets pretty exciting!”

Heroes airs Mondays on NBC.
