Arkansas Outhouse Races A Potty Pushing Party

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Ark. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – This weekend (Oct. 27-28), folks in Mountain View, Arkansas, will be racing towards the potty.

That’s because the 25th Annual Arkansas Bean Fest and Championship Outhouse Race is flushing into town, where people- powered potties duke it out on a racetrack to win the golden potty award, which is an actual gold-painted toilet seat.

The 100-yard race features teams of three people – two pushers and a driver who steers while sitting on a toilet – who will race vehicles that look like real outhouses to see who’s the cream of the crapper.

And while no racers want to be dubbed number two in the potty push, event spokesperson Jimmie Edwards assures the sht won’t hit the fan during the wild race due to injuries.

He says, “There are no brakes on these things, so crashes happen, but we line the streets with hay bales so no one gets hurt.”

Edwards also assures that no badly behaved party-poopers will be floating around at the event.

He says, “It’s a big street party, but it’s all right in front of the police department, so no one will be misbehaving.”
