‘Sister, Sister’ Twin Recalls Her Awkward Phase

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Actress Tamera Mowry grew up on national TV, and watching reruns of her hit show Sister, Sister reminds Mowry of her good ol’ awkward teen phase.

Mowry – who will be starring in Disney Channel’s film Twitches Too, along with her sister Tia Mowry on October 12 – says it’s still a little weird catching reruns of Sister, Sister on TV, especially because the show was filmed during her and her twin sister’s “most awkward stage.”

Mowry explains, “Tia and I were like 16 when the show started and we went through all of our uncomfortable girl stages on TV, across the globe. It was hard to watch the show at first, but now it’s kind of cool because we have our growing phase on film. Now we can kind of laugh at ourselves!”

And since Mowry and her sis were on the sitcom for five years in the late 1990s, lots of memories come to mind when she catches an episode.

Mowry says, “I’ll watch one and remember what guy I had a crush on back then, or what bloopers we had to film over. It always makes me smile!”
